FAQ's

1.  This would be a first in BC? Yes, per Will Koop's detailed, preliminary documentary report, "The Topping Creek Crisis" dated July 9, 2008.  Will Koop, founder of the BC Tap Water Alliance, explains that this would be a first-ever golf resort development approved in a community "watershed reserve" in BC and that there is historical precedent in Rossland denying development in this area.  (See www.rosslandbc.org for more, July 9)

2. Should Steve Knox recuse himself from decisions regarding his "seasonal" employer, Red Mountain? Yes, definitely, per CRD lawyer Peter Waldmann's legal opinion.  (See its full text on www.rosslandbc.org , July 9)

3.  Do questions and issues remain AFTER the RMV "public information session" on June 24?  Yes, a sampling of numerous unedited questions /issues remaining are posted on www.rosslandbc.org , July 10) 

4.  What are Rosslanders saying to City Councillors about water, taxes, questions, referendums, etc?  Read the abundance of new letters from over 100 people just since the RMV "public information session" in the letters section of www.rosslandbc.org

VOLUNTEER for the Sustainability Commission (by July 16) or (by a later date)  for the Task Forces which will work on water stewardship, community economic development, housing affordability.

**NEW**Mon, July 14: Join the RALLY followed by a MARCH  a Community-wide demonstration for all citizens opposed to the development proposed for our community watershed are urged to attend this protest, make it clear to Council that our water is not for sale! Ask Council to "Just Vote No!" on the golf resort application.  Bring signs, friends, parents, grandparents, neighbours. Music and balloons provided, meet outside City Hall, 6:30 pm (previously scheduled for 7pm)
